Aniline little sister is semi Aniline. This leather is similar to normal Aniline but usually of slightly lower quality. It is bathed in the same transparent die, but then finished with a light protective coat to inhibit staining or future discolouration. Though a slight loss in softness is experience with semi Aniline, it is insignificant in most cases. Coated leather is the next type, being designated as such because it is bathed in coloured dye and then finished with a high-gloss polyurethane. The hides used for coated leather can be of lower quality because the dye and poly cover the imperfections. The coating gives the leather that shiny look and deep richness in the colour, and is often what most people think of in terms of a leather sofa. Standard and faux leather round out our list. They are the most popular choice due to their relatively low cost. Standard leather is the lowest quality, bathed in coloured dye and often embossed with patterns. As the name implies, faux leather is an imitation product made with inexpensive alternative materials that can be treated to look and feel like the real thing.
Depending on the availability of space and your requirements you can go for a single leather sofa which can be a single or two-seater. Such sofas tend to work well with other furniture be it wooden or wrought iron. You will also be able to find longer leather sofas that have the capacity to seat four people in a row. Then you have leather sofa sets incorporating a multiple seater with a single seater or double seater. The varieties are endless with regards to the number of pieces you can have in your leather sofa sets. Hence you can rest assured you will be able to find leather sofas that meet your requirements.
Natural Leather Sofas are luxurious indeed, but can be easily stained or damaged if left un-coated another downfall with nubuck leather is that the type of coating that is applied leaves the surface prone to stains as it becomes very absorbent. Leather pull-up aniline is pricy and expensive that can sometimes leave the surface with dark and lite patches due to uneven coating. Semi aniline leather is best as it has a coating that protects against stains and is also much more durable than natural leather. On the other hand pigmented leather is very durable and quite easy to maintain a pigmented process allows the material to retain it is color through the life of the sofa.
