A kitchen does not just have to function well as a place to prepare food, but also as a space where it is stored. A lack of properly organized kitchen storage is the number one complaint that most people have about their kitchens. If your kitchen is more than a little cramped and cluttered and you are not quite ready to call in a kitchen remodeling team, there are a few simple tweaks you can make that will free up some precious storage space quickly and easily. Here are just a few of them.
Note that you need not completely fill your holder, so that it wo not become difficult to get an item because it is stuffed too tight inside it. Avoid breaking a sweat and getting frustrated by using a caddy that is loosely packed to save you more time and effort, and increase your efficiency in the kitchen. It also helps to keep some ample space around the caddy so that you wo not keep on knocking things each and every time time you want to grab a utensil. There should be ample headroom as well for easy access to the tools no matter where you are in the room.
Help yourself on those busy, late nights by investing in some quality kitchen storage products now. For one, my spices desperately need a better layout. Right now they are on one shelf stacked directly upon one another arm-deep. But I plan to get a few of the spice racks which affix to the inside of cabinet doors. While that may mean all my spices are not in one location, it should actually improve my ease of use because I can see the labels more easily and wo not have to move six things just to get to one container.
